【摘要】:Theprocedureshouldbeusedtotestthedegermingeffectivenessofantimicrobialhandwashingproductsusedbyhealthcarepersonnelthatareintendedforfrequentuse,andthatareintendedtoreducethelevelofcontaminationacquiredthroughcontactwithcontaminatedobjectsorpeople.Performanceoftheseproceduresrequirestheknowledgeofregulationspertainingtotheprotectionofhumansubjects(Ref1).31.1Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetheeffectivenessofantimicrobialhandwashingagents(includinghandrubs)inthereductionoftransientbacterialflorawithparticularemphasisonthefingernailregion.1.2Aknowledgeofmicrobiologicaltechniquesisrequiredfortheseprocedures.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Formorespecifichazardstatements,see7.5.
